Marilyn Manson is an American musician, singer, songwriter and artist best known as the frontman of the rock band Marilyn Manson.
Emerging in the early 1990s, he became one of the most controversial figures in popular music through his theatrical stage persona, provocative imagery and blend of industrial rock, alternative metal and glam rock. Albums including ‘Antichrist Superstar’, ‘Mechanical Animals’, ‘Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death)’ and ‘The Golden Age of Grotesque’ established him as a defining artist of shock rock.
Beyond music, Manson has appeared in films and television series and exhibited his visual artwork internationally. Since 2021, his career has been overshadowed by multiple allegations of sexual assault, abuse and misconduct. Manson has denied the allegations, and while some civil cases have been settled or dismissed, legal proceedings have varied across jurisdictions.
