David Letterman is an American television host, comedian, writer and producer who transformed late-night television with his offbeat humour, irreverent interviews and innovative comedy segments.
After beginning his broadcasting career in radio and local television, he found national success hosting ‘Late Night with David Letterman’ on NBC from 1982 to 1993 before moving to CBS to launch ‘Late Show with David Letterman’, which he hosted until his retirement in 2015. Over more than three decades, Letterman interviewed thousands of guests and influenced generations of comedians and presenters.
He returned to television in 2018 with Netflix’s interview series ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman’.
